More Morning Insomnia

Been up since 5:45 this morning. Woke up with a baby's head hitting my ribs. My little boys head is starting to poke out just like Eden's which unfortunately means that his head is still up. It just makes me nervous because if this baby is breach that means another c-section, and I really don't want one again. Recovery seemed to be a cinch for me, but I really don't like the fact that it puts a limit on how many kids we can have. Three. I really don't like being pregnant, but the reward when you hold that baby in your arms is insurmountable over any , or endless nights of puking that you had while pregnant. Earlier it felt like he was trying really hard to move around, and I could feel his little head poking out my side, and a lot of pain in my back, but so far he has been unsuccessful in his turning.

Anyway, tonight is our last night here in the condo at East Canyon with my parents. It's been so much fun spending time with them. I'm lucky that I get to spend this Christmas with them. They were both planning on being somewhere else for the Holidays, since they sold their house. But, as luck would have it for me they have not found a new house to buy. So, currently they are homeless living at my brother-in-laws. They have spent a lot of time while we were here looking up houses online, and showing us all the options they are currently excited about, but getting frustrated seeing as they have been homeless for 2 1/2 months living out of their suitcases. But, I don't know how often I will see them once they are moved. But, we have had fun playing in the snow, sledding, drinking Roma (mom's favorite fake coffee), watching movie after movie, and today we played Yahtzee and Apples to Apples a family favorite. And Jonathon, my dad, and me all scored Yahtzees! Crazy huh? It was pretty exciting. Somehow I won the game. I felt like I was doing pretty bad throughout it, but lucked out somehow in the end.

Eden followed a decent schedule today (nap 4-6, bed 10:30), which was nice because last night she went to bed at 7, but woke up at 8:15, 9:30, and 11:30. I was able to get her to fall asleep each time, except at 11:30 when Jonathon went up to get her because I was working out. She ran around while I did my workout video, and got to sleep with us the first part of the night once I was done. Once she was asleep I put her back in her bed. There is barely enough room for Jonathon and I to sleep with my ever-growing belly, which keeps me tossing and turning.

It's now 6:49 and we will be getting up soon to start packing the house. I have new photos from yesterdays sledding, which was a lot of fun, but haven't uploaded them. Here are a few photos from our first day here. I better get them on here so I can get off the computer soon.

Dadda and Eden enjoying some popcorn

Mom and Dad house hunting

Mom and Dad passing out on the couch our first night here.
Jonathon and I tried to sleep on super uncomfortable bunk beds the first night. At first it was fun and romantic trying to share 1 twin size bed, but then half-way through the night I woke up and Jonathon was in his own bunk. And I kept waking up cause Eden kept making noises in her sleep. The next few nights we slept in the Murphy bed downstairs by the fire. Much much more comfy.

These photos are from the 2nd day we were here. We stayed just 1 night, and had to head back down for a Christmas dinner at my sisters with all her kids. Which I guess I'll add those photos too while I am at it. It was fun to see all my nieces and nephews. My sister has 5 kids, 1 grand-daughter (which means I am a great-aunt...not to be confused with wonderful-aunt) and 2 step-kids. But Trek as many of my friends know passed away unexpectedly several months ago. He would have been 18 the day after Thanksgiving. His spirit was felt, and a photo of him was present at the dinner table, but he was definitely missed. I wasn't able to get a photo of everyone before my camera died. My niece Kiah wandered around the party with my camera taking pictures for me. (Which reminds me, Amy, can you send me your photos when you get a chance? You have some cute ones!)

Savannah (The oldest, a sweetheart who is very easy to get along with, and loves everyone)

Addy (Is 13, but is still 8 in my mind, and an excellent writer. Do you have a blog Addy? I'd love to read it.)

Tyvan (My brother-in-laws oldest. Excellent musician. He played for us a few Christmas's ago. You should play for us again Tyvan!)

Kiah (My grand-niece, who is a hoot, and incredibly spunky! Funny side story. I had been playing with her for most of the night. When it was time for me to leave she ran over to give me a hug yelling "Wait!!!" She gave me a big hug and when she did her head hit my belly. She looked up at me shocked as could be and said, "You are pregnant!!" I replied, "You didn't notice?", she answered, "No. So you are having another baby? Why are you having another baby?" I said, "Because Eden wanted a little brother." She said in utter amazement, "So, you are going to have 2 babies?" "Yup!" Then she looked into the other room for her mom, and shouted, "WOW Mom!!! Guess what! As she ran towards her to inform her that I was pregnant, but that the craziest thing was that I was going to have 2 BABIES!!!"

Jonathon playing with Caide (My Sister's and Centry's-her husband youngest. A sweetheart with amazing blue eyes that melt your heart)

Ok, back-track to our trip back to SLC from East Canyon. On our way out of Henefer there was a heard of cows on the road.

At first we thought there were 20 to pass, but I think we passed cows for at least a mile. There were definitely more than 100.

Ok, 7:24 now. I am the only one awake and we are supposedly supposed to be hitting the road in 5 minutes so my mom can finish the Christmas shopping she has barely started. I better get these people moving. Lucky for them, I can't sleep.

The weather we have enjoyed lately

Beautiful sun Thanksgiving day

Torrential down-pours the following week

12 inches of snow in 1 afternoon

We are having a ton of fun here in the snow!! It started with a "freak storm" in Vegas which closed the Vegas airport, leaving our flight delayed 1.5hours making our arrival time 1:40 AM Vegas time. We arrived at our friend Brandon's house at 3 in the morning. I couldn't believe how much snow he had at his house. Neither could he or his wife. I wanted to get photos, but left my camera in the car which we had to park a block away from his house because it couldn't make it up the hill in the snow. Vegas doesn't get much snow, so they aren't very good about making rounds with the snow-plows.

The flight to Vegas from Hawaii wasn't too bad. Eden fell asleep for the 1st hour as soon as we took off.
We thought she would sleep the entire way, but she surprised us...and wouldn't fall asleep till we were off the plane and in the car. She loved looking at all the planes during our wait to get on our flight. We were just glad it was only delayed an hour and a half. Could have been much worse.

Anyway, the next day we were headed to Utah. We headed for Cafe Rio on the way home from the airport with my parents...delicious!!! Then we were dropped off at the Parker's to spend the evening with Jonathon's family.

Right now we are up in East Canyon with my parents spending a few days thanks to Jonathon's parents generosity sharing their winter time-share condo with us. Eden went to bed at 7pm for the first time in a long time. Her schedule is still pretty messed up. But, we are having a ton of fun, watching movies, eating too much, enjoying family, and playing in the "no" as Eden refers to it. Still haven't made a "no-man" but that is on the agenda for tomorrow.
