Today was a pretty fun day. It started out with a drive to Kaneohe to open a new bank account. Actually 2 new bank accounts. One of the banks here was offering free iPod shuffles or Nano's when you opened a new account. So, we went down and Jonathon and I both opened new accounts. I love my little shuffle!! I actually talked him out of getting the shuffle and getting a Nano next week cause then he can trade it in and get some money off on the new Apple he wants to buy for school. Jonathon's friend came with us too. In addition to the free iPod, he received a bag of rice for "referring" us as new account members. I like this bank, they give away perks all the time it seems! Anyway, after the bank excursion... we went to a fun pirates and princess 1 year old party. Jonathon and I dressed as pirates (he's such a good sport cause I MADE him dress up.) And Eden was a princess in a ballerina tutu, complete with a fairy wand and sneakers! But, when we pulled up to the party, we thought we were at the wrong place cause it didn't look like anyone was dressed up. I guess it was a double party, but only our friends asked their guests to dress up! ;-) Anyway, it was a lot of fun cause we were at a ranch and there were horses and goats, bunnies, ponies, and dogs. And Eden LOVES animals...especially dogs. (Speaking of dogs, the lady at the bank gave Eden a free stuffed Lassie type dog. She carried it around with her for a good hour...like I said, GOOD BANK!) Anyway, I thought I'd upload a few photos. Now we are home, Eden is napping and Jonathon went for a little afternoon surfing. This is a movie of Eden feeding a horsie there
Eden with the Birthday boy!! Happy Birthday J!! We love you! The Birthday Boy pirate reaching for some princess "booty" ;-)
A stay-at-home mom, who loves her kids and husband and life like crazy!
A favorite quote:
“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed some one's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."~Marjorie Hinckley

Love the "booty" shot!! You are too funny.
Eden is such a beautiful girl. She is so lucky to have such great parents AND live in Hawaii. =)
