Update on money order

**A money order is kind of like a check. The difference: A check can bounce if there is no money in the checking account. A money order is purchased with cash. So the party recieving the money order does not have to worry about it bouncing**

Anyway, I decided that 7-11 was the cheapest route seeing how it was only $1 compared to the $5 that my bank charges...ridiculous.

So, I put my kids in my cute red stroller and off we walked to 7-11. Eden of course went straight to the candy isle...but her favorite bubble gum sucker was out of the pink. So she opted for the pink and blue swirly cotton-candy flavored sucker.

We grabbed some cash from the ATM for our money orders and Eden helped me pull the cash from the machine. She thought that was a pretty awesome job. We paid for our money orders and sucker and headed out front.
Eden wanted to sit in front of 7-eleven for a while to enjoy her treat. While we were sitting there someone asked me if I could spare 75 cents, so I gave it to him. At the moment my wallet was standing in as a chew toy for Tex. I had a sneaky suspicion that this guy wanted the 75 cents cause he was a little short for his cigarettes (I'm kind of judgemental I guess)...but I gave it to him anyway. (I actually had a feeling he needed the extra change for cigarettes because of a conversation I had with homeless man the other day, and he was telling me that 7-eleven was trying to take all his money because they raised the taxes again.)

But anyway... A few moments later our new friend walked out of 7-eleven packing his new box of cigs. (if you aren't familiar with the world of smoking- that means he was hitting his pack of cigarettes into his palm in order to pack the insides of the cigarette. It keeps it burning better or something.)
Anyway, Eden saw him put his cigarette in his mouth while he stood in front of a truck chatting with his friends and she said, "He got a sucker too?" I could have maybe used this as a teaching opportunity about not smoking...but decided to say nothing. Then his friends in the truck drove away and he walked off the opposite direction and Eden said, "Oh NOOO! His daddy left!" she was really really worried.
So I explained, "No sweety, he's okay. His Daddy is going bye bye and he is walking to his friends." Eden responded with "His Daddy go work? He going to his friend Ambrose?"
I love the little world of a 2 year old. So cute!

This morning at 6 am...

Tex didn't want to sleep anymore. "It is much more fun to play with Mommy", he decided.

"This will be the perfect time to show her a new trick...My pushups!!", he thought. "And when I look so cute doing my morning push-ups, I just know she will grab the camera."

And Mom did grab her camera. And Texton looked so cute doing his pushups. And his mommy smiled and giggled while she watched and continued to record her little guy.

Then Tex started thinking, "I wonder if I can scoot? I bet I can", he thought. And right now would be the perfect time since Mom has the camera out, she will surely be able to record it."

And he tried and he tried. He turned his body to the left and he turned it to the right...and then all of a sudden.- well watch the video to see for yourself. If you are impatient fast forward to 40 seconds. The scoot happens at about 48 seconds incase you blink ;-)

Can you help...Math Question

Okay. Hope you like problem solving.

Matti needs 2 money orders. She called her bank. The bank said they charge a $5 fee per money order. The bank is 4 miles away, gas costs $3.25 a gallon and her car gets 18 mpg.

She then called 7-eleven. They said they charge $1 per money order. 7-eleven is a walk away from her house. However, her child will want a pink sucker which costs 30 cents.

Where should Matti go to get her money orders???

Too bad I don't like my kids....

Hahaha!!! Just kidding!! ;-)

I'm in love...

A day well worth repeating!!!

Thanks to a friends excellent suggestion...The other morning we went to a new ice cream place: Menchies.
Question: What is better than 8 sticky hands, 4 sticky mouths, a wall full of 20 something frozen yogurt flavors and a buffet bar full of candy, nuts, cereal, syrups, and toppings galore??? Oh, and need I mention this place is all you can eat and pay for per ounce...

A: When the Mommy's eat it too! And watch their kids
Play! Play! Play

I'm actually suprised the sweet employees at this place didn't send us on our way. The kids had tons of fun after we loaded them up with sugar. They were drawing on the chalk board and running around crazy. It was great!
After this crazy fun, the kids and I had a few errands to run (Costco and SAVERS!!!) But before we could do any of that we had a delicious lunch of...

A little catching up to do....

I feel like I have been on blogging haitus for a bit.

I love being a Mom of two. It's so fun to watch 2 different stages of life going on at the same time. A cute chubby little baby boy who is just so happy, and a crazy and busy and funny...no hillarious 2 year old. She coppies everything we do and say. It's insane the way her mind soaks everything in. She can recall events from months ago... I can't believe it.

After she was potty trained, Grandma sent her a special package with cute new panties inside. Though Eden now owns about 20 pairs of panties she still remembers to this day which ones are from Grandma. And whenever she grabs a pair, she reminds me "These are my Gamma panties!"

She finally named her baby-doll. Her name in Angelina. Where did she get this name?? Well, while we were away at my Mom's in Arizona Eden and I watched 1 episode of Angelina Ballerina. 3 or 4 weeks later once we were back in Hawaii, Eden began calling baby Angelina.

Tex is basically the perfect baby. Rarely cries, smiles all the time, smells delicious. Has lots of chunkiness to hold onto and squeeze. Just now, I put him to bed awake about 20 minutes ago. He has been laying quietly in his crib since then just waiting till he falls asleep. Not all nights are like this, but tonight was. And he always wakes up with the hugest grin on his face.

Eden's sleeping is a slightly different story. She likes to come out of her room over and over and over and over after being tucked in. Sometimes this happens again at midnight, 2, 4, and 6 am. Usually I take her back to bed but sometimes we let her stay in bed and snuggle with us and we try to squeeze in every moment we have to snuggle with her before she's too old for snuggling.

Watching the two of them play together is what brings me great joy. Both their faces light up and I know they love each other.

Today I watched Eden as she and her friend Addy from nextdoor walked together hand in hand to nursery together. Eden's face was beaming. I can still see the dimples on her cheeks as she and Addy giggled up the stairs towards nursery. She is definately a little girl.

I love trying to find creative ways to entertain and play with both of them each day. I feel so blessed to have both these children in my life.

I didn't intend this post to be so mushy, I just wanted to post a few photos. But, I also don't want to forget these little moments. I love them so much. I LOVE being a Mom.
