that's really really awesome! i'm hoping that i can someday run in and finish a marathon. but i think i may just settle for a 1/2 marathon. i'm nowhere near being in condition right now for one, but hopefully in my near future. and what sucks is that most of them are on sundays. ugh. go matti!! you rock!
Woo hoo!! You can totally do it! Marathons are so fun and exciting! If you start doubting yourself just remember that Jordan ran the whole thing without training at all..ok without doing any running at all...so you'll be fine (training definitely makes the experience much more enjoyable though.) It's going to be so fun...wish I was there to run it with you!
GOOO MATTI!!!!! good job! i plan on running the St. George marathon next year. i was going to sign up for this years honolulu one but i thought i would be cutting my training short with me having a baby right now. good luck!!!
And to think you signed up AFTER Texton slept through the night ... if you'd of done it before he started sleeping through the night you'd have a valid excuse for loosing your mind ;o) ... "sorry, I must have hit 'submit' while sleep walking" :)
Actually, I'm really excited for you. Maybe Centry and I can make it out there in time to wave you past the finish line.
wow! I like steph have filled out the form but didn't ever hit submit. my excuse is that it is on Sunday, but really i think it's because deep down i'm scared to. maybe one of these times i will tho.
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING???? and how do you get to that point where you start thinking thoughts like that....I want to say congrats but I think condolences fits better...
A stay-at-home mom, who loves her kids and husband and life like crazy!
A favorite quote:
“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed some one's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."~Marjorie Hinckley
