A "Shout Out" to my Baby's Daddy
These are just a few photos I took yesterday while hanging out at the stadium, a birthday party for a complete stranger, and wandering town with friends yesterday. I took lots of Jonathon and Eden cause he's such a great dad with her. It's always easy to find a cute shot when I'm hanging out with them cause it seems he's always being cute with her. Rarely do I need to ask him to watch her cause I think he watches her more than I do when we are all together. Thanks for being such a fun and wonderful Daddy Jonathon!
These were some of the amazing decorations at the party. We were at the white stake center downtown on Beretania. It was so cool! I've always wanted to go there.
This is NOT an Announcement ;-)
This is not an announcement. It's just a photo I found as I was editing old ones this morning. Somehow Eden has slept in past 6:30 this morning (it's now 8:02) and I woke up at 6:55. Actually everyone is sleeping, so I have been editing photos this morning. It is my new hobby. I've never really known how to edit the color and stuff. So this morning I have been cropping and editing. I can't say I'm any good at it, I just think it's fun. ANYWAY, I came across this old pregnant photo, and I just really like it. Most people like seeing preggy photos so I thought I'd post it and show you all what I once looked like at 195 lbs. Hard to believe that was over a year ago now. It seems like it was just days ago, and then again it feels like it was years ago. But, mostly it's just awesome to think about the life you had inside of you. It wasn't quite so real to me until I had Eden, and my brain finally made the connection that this little thing was really in my belly. Even after I had her, and I was sitting in the recovery room (after a c-section you can't be with your baby for about an hour while you are being monitored, 90 minutes in my case) I remember just staring at my belly and I just couldn't believe that all of a sudden my baby wasn't in there anymore. But, now I think it's the coolest thing when I see another pregnant lady and before I just thought they were cute. Just because my brain knows that there really is a little life growing in there. I just think it's the coolest thing. Anyway, this post is longer than I anticipated. But, I just love being a mommy. It IS the coolest thing.

Thanks for your comments
I am starting to really like this blogging thing. It's so fun to read all your sweet comments. I'm so lucky to have so many great friends! I thought I'd add a few more photos of my great wedding hair since you all said you like it so much. It was really fun to get it done. The funny thing is, I actually started crying while I was sitting in the chair at the salon. The funniest part was my friend (the bride) walked over and saw my eyes tearing up. She got all worried cause I told her I was affraid to get my hair done cause the last 2 times I had to get my hair done "professionally" for something I didn't like how it turned out. She assured me I would like it, and then we she came over to check on me I was crying. But really, I was just crying cause it was so nice to just sit in a chair, be pampered, and have my hair done, and not worry about Eden. I felt so pretty. ;-) Silly huh? I'm almost afraid to admit this to the world...at least those that blog.

No changing table?
I imagine all you mommy's have a story like this one. I have several, but I just remembered this one. When I was at my friend's wedding I noticed Eden had a leaky diaper when I picked her up out of her stroller cause her little diaper cover was wet. Well, I told the girl sitting at the table next to me "If I'm not out in 10 minutes...HELP!" She laughed. Little did she know (since she has no kids) I was COMPLETELY serious.
So, when I walked into the bathroom I noticed there was no changing table and I thought "Great~ this will be interesting." So, I took off Eden's diaper cover and tights to survey the damage. Just as I suspected, poop running all down the leg and had also blown out up her back. So, since there was no changing table, I took the liberty of taking Eden's clothes off and giving her a bath in the bathroom sink. Just needed to wipe off her legs of course. Luckly it wasn't so bad up her back cause it didn't get on her dress. Anyway, I was praying no one would walk into the bathroom while I was bathing her. Luckily, no one did.
After the mock bath. I set her on the counter sitting on some paper towels, and noticed that somehow she had gotten poop up her arms, and in her hair. I still have no idea how that happened. So, I grabbed a wipey for that. Anyway, I realized I couldn't put her tights back on, and it was FREEZING in the place where the were holding the reception. So, Intead I just put Eden in her pink sweat pants. I could have fully just put her in her pajamas, but I still wanted her to be cute for the wedding reception. Afterall, I had spent an hour making a matching butterfly clip! ;-)... And she was going to look cute dangit!!
Don't ask my baby...
Hey all, I just noticed something and I had to laugh. My profile thing says, "Just a mommy and a pretty good one if you ask my baby." Well, don't ask Eden anytime soon. We are weaning, and she is not happy. It has totally messed up her sleeping pattern. I don't know how to get her to sleep if I don't nurse her. So she stays awake till late in the afternoon and late into the evening. Anyway, I just can't wait till we are back to a normal routine and Eden is happy again. I'm so tired of making her cry herself to sleep. It's the sadest moments of my life. ;-( Anyway, this photo that I put on here is sweet. Eden was an angel at my friends wedding ALL NIGHT LONG. She finally passed out in my arms as we were dancing to the final song (which could not have been more loud or obnoxious) at about 10pm. She's such a sweety.
