Can you help...Math Question

Okay. Hope you like problem solving.

Matti needs 2 money orders. She called her bank. The bank said they charge a $5 fee per money order. The bank is 4 miles away, gas costs $3.25 a gallon and her car gets 18 mpg.

She then called 7-eleven. They said they charge $1 per money order. 7-eleven is a walk away from her house. However, her child will want a pink sucker which costs 30 cents.

Where should Matti go to get her money orders???

Uh oh. I knew I was doomed from the subject but then when I had to asked myself, " what the heck is a money order??" well that when I really knew I was useless.... But a pink sucker sounds lovely!

I say, whatever Matti wants :) haha But if I didn't say that, I'd say 7eleven (I know just the one you're talking about) and leave the babies home so no suckers are an issue. It's always great to see what y'all are up to. I love the Facts of Life Song. We always sing that song! Hope ya'll are doing great!

You know me, I'm always looking at the variables and weak spots in any plan. ;o)

1) Do you already have stamps to mail the money orders (based on assumption they are to be mailed in the first place).

2) If you need stamps, is the post office within walking distance or between the bank and home?

3) What if 7-11 is out of the pink ones, do you have an alternative color choice?

4) What time are you planing on going? Is the street safe to cross during that window or would you be safer driving?

5) Do you have a change of clothes for the children?

6) Is your gas tank full enough or would you need to go get gas at 7-11 on your way to the bank?

7) And who is your favorite sister ;o)

Is it any wonder I never get anything done. Love ya! ~Amy
