The new me...

A friend of mine was in town recently and she cut my hair for me before she left...What do ya think???

I love it! I feel like a whole new person...and I LOVE the fact that my pony tail doesn't weigh 5lbs. anymore. It was starting to hurt my neck.

My girl is awesome...

Today she tried "surfing" on her boogie board. Eden is fearless, and that is what I love most about her. Today she started dragging Liko's body board out into the water and tried putting it in herself. I tried running after her (after taking a few photos), but got to the water a little later. A (slightly large) wave had just washed up knocking her over, with the board hitting her in the face. But did that stop her determination to go into the water? Nope.

So, I grabbed the board and sat her on top of it and we paddled out into the water together. After a few moments she said, "Mommy, I wanna stand". I was a little nervous about it (considering I could barely touch the bottom myself and she wasn't wearing any flotation device), but I told her to give it a try.

And she tried...and she did it. And another rather large wave came, knocking off her balance and making her fall into the salty water. But, did that stop her? Nope. ;-) Then Liko swam over to help me hold the board for her, and Meg grabbed my camera to catch a few shots of the awesome experience. She fell into the water several times, and just got right back on again and again. She could even stand without help for several seconds at a time. I was amazed.

Eden....I love you so much! Your daring nature inspires me. I wish I was more like you.

One Lucky Mommy

Right now I am just enjoying some quiet time, and thinking about what a lucky Mommy I am to be able to enjoy these 2 beautiful babies day after day after day.

This is my Texton. Sometimes I call him T-man, or Mr. Man. Sometimes he is Tex. But he is always sweet, happy, and easy going. He's the best boy I have ever had!!

And this is my favorite girl. There is no telling what she is going to be up to when she's being quiet. The other day she found a kitty in our back yard...and this girl LOVES animals. I decided to fill a bowl with milk for Eden to give to her new friend. She told the kitty, "Kitty, drink your milk all gone and you will be happy!"

And you know a 2 year old is being naughty when it's just been too quiet. The other morning, I woke up and waited and waited for Eden to come out of her room. I thought she was just sleeping in a long time. Eventually I heard her and went in to check on her, to realize that she had torn one of her books into intsy teensy tiny peices.

A few days ago...

I proudly watched as this guy wandered to the front to get his fake diploma. ;-)

And I saw something only seen at a Hawaiian graduation. ;-)
I think Texton was pretty excited!

And I know these 2 were proud too!

Then we headed to Maharani's for som AMAZING (and spicy) Indian food!

(Eden stayed home with a sitter for 9 hours! That's how long it took to drive to the graduation...watch....get some good food...and drive home! We thought she would have more fun at home, than being dragged around with us all day. By the time we got home, she was already tucked in bed...we missed her so much, we both went in to try and wake her. But she didn't move a muscle.)

2 years ago....around this time

These people came for our graduation and new baby... And they came out again!! For another graduation...and a new baby!! And we had a great time!
We are so sad that they have already left- the time went TOO FAST...we miss you Grandma and Grandpa. Come back soon!

Grandma and Grandpa Are HERE!!!

We are excited to spend the next few days with Grandma and Grandpa Parker! They are such fun grandparents to hang out with. Today, Grandpa took Eden on a walk to 7-eleven for some treats and a stroll on the beach.

Then we headed to Hukilau Cafe for a delicious lunch plate. ;-) Eden enjoyed sampling the sugar packets while we waited for our food.
We are looking forward to the next few days with them!! We are so glad you guys are here with us!!

Grinning from ear to ear!!

That's what I am doing right now. :-D Why? Because I just made a mega-order on motherhood.com I have been needing a new nursing bra basically since Eden was born. For some reason NO ONE on the island sells my size...lame. Anyway, I have always been too chicken to order anything online, cause I would hate wasting money on shipping something that doesn't fit. But today, I noticed ALL ORDERS on motherhood are only $5 shipping TOTAL. So, I ordered 1 of each kind they have! And I'll send back the ones I don't like! Cool huh? So, if you need anything from motherhood - today is a good day to buy it online! Oh... and one of them was on clearance for $20 marked down from $74! Can you believe it???

I wanna win one of these

This would be soooooooooo fun to have around here!
Click below and you can find out how to win one too!! ;-)

My chances are probably 1 in a billion....but hey! There is a chance. ;-)

Aquarium

We've been saying for probably 5 months now, "We should take Eden to the aquarium!" Well, last weekend we finally did! And we had some good times there

This fish was awesome

Some HUGE HUGE FISH! I've never seen fish so big!

We saw lots of jelly fish

Eden had fun chasing this leopard looking fish back and forth in the tank. I wanted to get video. But of course, as soon as I switched the camera to video mode...she ran off. Why is when you try to get video...they ALWAYS quit what they were doing? Maybe I should get the video camera out next time she is being naughty. ;-)

Eden enjoyed listening to the audio tour

Texton enjoyed a lot of this

Eden kept trying to stick her hand in the water when she wasn't allowed to. So, we took her to the area where you can touch urchins, and hermit crabs...and of course she was afraid to put her hand in the water....silly girl. ;-)

Isn't this Christmas Wrasse awesome?

She loved staring at the monk Seals. There are only 1500 left. Isn't that sad?

Really pretty clams

She had fun watching the "a-pu-pus"

. And here is the corn we ate at the Filipino Fiesta held across the way at Kapiolani Park. We got to watch some guy...I think his name was JR. He's a super-star in the Philippines. Apparently he's pretty hot if you are 16. ;-)
