"Wait... So we are not moving now??? What?"

That was my thought as I heard this disconcerting message from my landlord left today, asking if we can wait to move to the back place for another month. I also thought to myself... you realise that it is AUG 27? We are supposed to move in 4 days. Don't you think I have started packing by now? Well, yes I have started packing, and moved many of our belongings by my pregnant sick self to said "back place".

However, my sweet sweet landlord (bless his heart truly I love him) would like an extra month to fix up the place perfect for us. I guess I can't complain too much. He wants to give us a bigger fridge, and fix the paint that the painters failed to paint. Who knows? Maybe he'll put ceiling fans in the bedrooms? That would be awesome. He's put ceiling fans in all his other units... why not this one? Oh, and maybe he'll fix the door frames so the doors actually close. ;-)

I was really anxious to move in cause I am just really ready for a new space... and super excited to try my hand at decorating since I got to pick out my own furniture for this place. I didn't do much to decorate this place. Probably put $40 into it over the year we lived here. But, I guess I will have to wait till November 1 now. On the plus side, maybe I won't be sick by then either. Plus, I can really think about color schemes and look for a cheap area rug. I wanna find a nice plush one, but for cheap. Hard to come by. I found this one on craigslist the other day... PERFECT. Huge, and only $10. But, I missed out on it by just a few minutes. Was pretty sad about that one. Anyway, just thought I'd feel you in.

But, once we are in... I am totally planning a chocolate chip cookie and lemonade (sounds disgusting now, but yesterday it sounded really good) mommy and me party to show off my cute little place and fun back yard! So, keep posted for that next month.

(I created this on my computer last Sunday morning. It is one of the possibilities I imagined for my front room. However, instead of a runner, I want an area rug (in order to childproof for the Parker currently under construction.)

Drum Roll Please... ;-)

Well, I am very excited to announce... The baby is due MARCH 22, 2009!!! And for those of you who aren't familiar with this date...this is my very own birthday (27th to be exact)! It was awesome to see my little boucing baby on the screen today. This time they didn't do the heart-beat thing cause they didn't know if I was far enough along to hear it yet. They said by their measurements I am 10 weeks...3days. Which means as for sickness, I most likely will be sick for about 4 more weeks. That's kinda yucky news, but who knows? Maybe the sickness will pass sooner on this pregnancy. Oh, and the most awesome part of the ultra-sound. The baby was moving all around. I couldn't believe how developed the little thing was. I saw it's sweet little hands and fingers even! It kept kicking it's legs and rolling over. It just was the sweetest thing, and Eden and Jonathon were in there with me to see it. It was AWESOME! It was the first time I felt like we are a real "family". I mean, I've always thought of us as a family, but it seems wierd defining yourself as family when you have just the 2 of you, or even when you have just 1 kid. But, for some reason seeing my sweet husband, silly daughter, and new baby on the screen, I felt so proud to be the mommy of my little family. I guess what I am saying is this new life just makes our family feel more complete. However, I doubt it's the last Parker Jr. to enter the world. Anyway, after I was STARVING. We went to this new resturaunt, looked at the menu, and I decided nothing sounded like what i wanted. Then we drove by Pizza Hut, and Jonathon suggested we go there. It seemed like the perfect place to celebrate. All you can eat pizza, pasta, breadsticks, soda, cinnamon bread, and salad bar (which consisted of ice-burg lettuce, cucumbers, carrot sticks, italian, ranch, and thousand island dressing.) But it was DELICIOUS. Especially the pasta, and Eden was actually an angel and quite entertaining during dinner. So, Jonathon and I actually were able to have a few conversations. It was PERFECT. Thanks little family. I love you so much! I have a photo of the ultra sound, but my camera batteries are dead (again). So I will charge them tonight and post the photo tomorrow.

V o t e s a r e i n... I t w a s Close!

You would think the votes make me feel better because I always wished Eden looked just like me. But, I'm kind of sad cause my photo won by 2 votes. ;-) I'm not a good winner at this game I guess.

I counted full votes as 1 point. IE people who said, "I think she looks like B". And people who said "I think both, but more A" I gave A a vote of .5 ;-)

So, this is what it came out as. I don't want to take all the credit though (even though the graph says I should). I'd say we are a mix of both. She definately has her dad's personality. Whoever she looks like, I don't think she could be any cuter. Oh ya, BTW. A was Jonathon and B is me! I posted a few other "growing up" years of Jonathon and I. Actually when Eden was born everyone said she looked just like her dad. So, hopefully as she gets older the trend will continue and she'll start to look more and more like me (but with her dad's eyes... I love his eyes). However, she does have her dad's mullet (see below.)

LOVED IT!!

Ok, so I didn't think I was going to like this movie much. I just wasn't a big fan of the story line. Maybe that's why I liked it so much because I had low expectations. But, it was sooo funny. I loved the colors and the costumes the location. In my opinion the nearly PERFECT girl movie. (Story line 7/10 stars..everything else 9 or 10/10) Yes, some singing parts were cheesy. But most were funny, sweet, and perfect. Thanks to my mother who told me she'd seen it twice already... I decided against my better judgement to pay $8.50 and go. Plus, I really needed a night out away from being mommy or being sick. I needed a change of scenery. So, thanks to my girlfriends in my ward here at church for being to fun to go together we left the kids and husbands and went. It was the perfect girls night out and the perfect movie. I can't wait to own it and add to my girly movie collection. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen though. If anyone wants to catch a matinee sometime, I might be up to paying for it again. As long as you catch me on a day that I don't feel broke. ;-) But if you haven't seen it yet, grab a great girlfriend, sister, mother, or older daughter and go.

Oh Thank Heaven!

For neighbors and Tums... and neighbors who share their Tums. ;-)

Thanks Stef! Instant relief for that sudden onset of pregnancy heart-burn.

Look alike contest

Ok, so I found these 2 photos. One of me, one of Jonathon. I want you to tell me who looks more like Eden. I am not going to tell you who either of the baby photos are cause I don't want to sway your vote. (Even though I am sure you can tell who is who.)

Happy Voting!

Some Sentiment

Most of you know, but Jonathon and I celebrated our 4 Yr wedding anniversary last Thursday, August 14. We were married 4 years ago in the Salt Lake Temple. Best decision of my life.
That evening (last thursday) my sweet husband came home from work early cause he said he heard the tension in my voice after speaking to him on the phone. Eden had worn down the very few nerves I still have from being pregnant. He walked in the door and suprised me with flowers. Thanks again sweety.
We didn't do much that night. Just stayed home and relaxed. We planned to get a sitter for friday, but never happened. Instead on saturday we drove to Kailua in search of a hide-a-bed for our back apartment. Around 7:00 we decided to get our anniversary dinner. We went to this Thai Food resturaunt in Kailua. We'd been there before and liked it, so we thought we'd go again.

When we walked in the doors we noticed how quiet it was and didn't want to disturb the peace with one of Eden's Post-Bed-time meltdowns. So, we ordered to go. Went to the car. Fed Eden her share, and drove for 15 minutes till she fell asleep. Then we pulled into a McDonalds parking lot and ate our anniversary dinner. Sure, it's no hellicopter ride to Haleakala. But that would probably make me throw up. ;-) This was the perfect celebration for me because Eden was there with us sleeping peacefully in the backseat, with her head flopped to the side of her carseat. And she is the pride and joy of our married life.

Jonathon proposed to me twice actually - But, I said yes both times. The first time was on a hike. It was a sunday afternoon. We stopped to watch the sunset. Jonathon asked me to close my eyes. I thought, "What a wierdo. I know he's not proposing cause he hasn't bought a ring yet cause we are still looking for the right one." But I closed my eyes to humor him anyway. When I opened them he was kneeling on one knee and had a ring box in his hand. Inside the box was a ring that had to have a fake diamond of about 5K. I looked at him and said, "are you serious?" I was really confused. He said, "why would I joke about this? Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes... still slightly confused. He told me he just thought this ring would be funny since we didn't have a real ring yet. Then he said, but I also have this ring. So he pulled out another box. Inside this box were 2 very beautiful rings (engagement and wedding). He said, these are fake too. But I figure you can wear them until we get you your real ring. He just wanted our engagement to be official since we were pretty much already planning our wedding. Well. A few weeks later, I was driving home from the gym and Jonathon called and said to come by on my way home. So, as I was driving this song came on the radio and I really wanted him to hear it cause it was my new favorite (even though Jonathon hates my girly music). Anyway, I ran in the house as fast as I could, turned straight into the kitchen and turned on the radio. After a moment I noticed Jonathon wasn't coming into the kitchen to meet me. I looked over into the living room, and there I saw him on 1 knee again. Holding a 3rd ring box. He motioned to me to go back to the front door. When I walked over to the front door, I noticed a trail of white rose pedals leading from the door to the "big room" in his parents house. I followed the trail, and when I walked into the room he was kneeling inside a heartshape that he made out of white long stem roses and across the back of the room had written out, "I love you Matti" in roses. Oh, did I mention he was wearing a suit? He couldn't have looked more cute, and I swear the sun was just beginning to set. So, this time I got my 3rd and final engagement ring. Which was good, cause I had already painted the inside of the fake one twice with nail polish to keep my finger from turning green. ;-) Long story but wanted to share. Oh, so the photo. After I called my parents and told them the good news (even though they already knew we were engaged cause of the fake rings). They drove down to take photos for me. I have more, but this is the only one on my computer. I wanted to put a shirt on, but Jonathon wouldn't let me since I wasn't wearing one when I got to his house. I'm still embarassed about it.

This is some of the delicious cake that we had at our reception. As the cake maker lady "Fresia" was bringing it to the site the thick layer of pudding in the middle began melting, making the 2 layers fall apart all over her husbands lap. Luckily it was just the bottom tier of the cake, so she was still able to salvage the majority of it. Funny thing is I had NO idea the cake had falled apart until I got the pictures of the wedding back after my honeymoon. Thanks everyone for not letting me worry 1 ioda durring our wedding day.

This was one of the pictures on our wedding announcement/invitation.

Feeling Creative

So, I was finally feeling creative today and thought to put my creative energies into making my blog cute like all my friend's and family's blogs. Hope you enjoy the new look. I also finally took the time to figure out how to add extra photos and "gadgets". I really should be packing up to get ready to move, but that's not quite as fun. Plus, Eden has her bottom eye teeth coming in now. So, it was quite the struggle to get her down for a nap. So, I needed to de-stress for a while now that she's down.

This is AWESOME!

Hey guys!
I was reading my friends blog last night (Thanks for the idea Jen.) And she told about this website.
It's so awesome, you just type in a bunch of text, or use text from one of your blog posts. I pasted in my post about when I found out I was pregnant, and it came up with this! wordle.net

title="Wordle: pregnant"> src="http://wordle.net/thumb/wrdl/117651/pregnant"
style="padding:4px;border:1px solid #ddd">

It won't let me paste the picture in my blog. So, you have to click the link above to see my art. Anyway, you can choose your font and if you want it to take out some of the words, just click on the words you want it to remove. Then you can print your materpiece for some fun personalized wall art if you like. You can also change the colors, and directions of the words. It's super fun!! Prepare yourself for a good time.

"Amen"

This is my most favorite new trick of Eden's. Recently she has started praying with us. It is so sweet. She hears the word "prayer" and automatically folds her little arms and squints her eyes shut. The frist time I realised she knew how to pray was one afternoon, I put her in her high-chair with lunch and I walked away. As I walked away I heard mumbling, so I turned around to see what she was doing. She had folded her arms (Crossed them across her body) and bowed her head and was squinting her eyes closed. She prayed in a low monotone mumbly voice (I guess to her that's what I sound like when I pray). But when she was done, she said "Amen". I was sooo impressed! Now, when it's time to pray for bed-time or dinner time or whatever, Eden is always ready. Allthough, she doesn't wait till the end of the prayer to say amen. Usually she says it somehwere in the middle of the prayer. But it is sooo cute! Thanks to Breanna and her handy camera-woman skills while she was in town, she got a pretty good one of Eden one afternoon while praying.

Ode to My Dad

Just found this cool poem this morning about Dad's, and I wanted the world to know that I am so lucky to have my Dad as my Dad. I love you!!

Life Lessons

You may have thought I didn't see,
Or that I hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.

Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we'd grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It's written on my heart.

Without you, Dad, I wouldn't be
The woman I am today;
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.

I've grown up with your values,
And I'm very glad I did;
So here's to you, dear father,
From your forever grateful kid.

Free to Blog Again

Well, Jonathon decided that he didn't need this computer quite as bad as he thought. So, I am going to continue updating you on my life. Well, as most of you know this info... we are having a baby! I am so excited. It was kind of funny actually. We weren't planning on it so it came as a surprise. The first I thought I "might be" pregnant was July 1st when we picked up Jonathon's little sister from the airport. We went to Costco and I was starving, and everything sounded good. Then we went out front to eat the rotisserie chicken. After the chicken I wanted to order a slice of pizza and the very berry Sunday and the berry freezer thing. And I was sooo mad that Jonathon told me to order just one thing at a time if I really thought I wanted it. (You know when parents say, "you can have more after you finish what you already took.") Anyway, I was getting so frustrated that he wouldn't let me just buy everything on the menu. That was the first time I thought...I'm pregnant. Duh Duh Dunnn (Mystery music)
So, then a few weeks later, I was at church. My friend Meg was sitting next to me (9 mo. pregnant). I was holding Eden's bag of animal crackers, then Meg pulled out her bag of animal crackers and showed me that she had the same ones. We giggled and then went back to listening to the lesson. Well, again I was starving and I ate the whole bag of Eden's crackers in less than 3 minutes. I looked over at Meg's bag and she had eaten her whole bag too. So, again I thought "pregnant?" Duh Duh Dunnn... (Same mystery music)
Well, then I went home and thought about the pregnancy test I had been storing in the bathroom since April and internally debated with myself whether or not to take it. After about 2 hours, I decided to take it. Well, low and behold it came back positive. But, I thought it MUST be broken. (After all I only paid $1 for it at the dollar store). The 2nd line was soooo light that I didn't think it could be right. So, I threw it in the garbage. But, I couldn't believe it. So, about every 5-10 minutes I walked back into the bathroom...pulled it out of the garbage...and looked at it still in disbelief. Well, after about an hour of walking in and out of the bathroom I decided to take a 2nd test. Same results! But, I still couldn't believe it. I threw this test away in the kitchen garbage. For the rest of the evening I was digging both tests out of the garbage about every 30 minutes to study it again. I don't know why I kept throwing them away. So, 3 days later I went to the Dr. and waited in the waiting room for nearly 2hours to get my results. (I guess that's what it takes when you go to a free clinic cause you have no insurance) Sure enough... that one was positive too! Can you believe it? I am starting to. Especially since the sickness has been coming on over the last 2 weeks. But, I am so excited. And, I've learned that if I eat faithfully every 2 hours (without a minute to spare) I don't throw up... and that is GREAT!! Especially if you know what i went through when I was pregnant with Monkey (Eden). Sorry for the long story. I just thought it was funny. Anyway, I finally am on insurance now. So, I will be going to the baby Dr. in about a week to get an ultra sound to find out a due date for this baby. I am soooo excited! I think it will finally feel more real once I finally get a due day. I've also learned that dollar store pregnancy test DO work. So, next time you are wondering... don't waste $15 at the drug store. ;-)
Oh ya! The photos at the top, we turned into a post-card to send to our families to share our joyful news. My parents postman actually hand delivered their post-card to their door. When my dad answered the post-man said, "This looked too important to leave in a mail-box". I'm so glad for cute post people. ;-)

Best Friends

I think it's safe to say that Eden's best friend in the world is Addi Jorgensen (Sorry if I spelt that wrong Stef). I think we are so lucky to live next to the family of the little girl that Eden looks up to so much. Actually I think Eden's 4th or 5th word was "Addi". Well, I was going to write a sweet tribute, but J is begging me to let him use this comp. So, I'll post a few pics to prove their bond, and let him get his homework done. But thanks for being such a fun friend Addi girl. It's interesting how we all need friends. Even if we are just a few months old. This might be a good time to thank all my good friends too while I am waiting for my photos to upload. You guys sure make the days a lot more fun, and some of life's stresses not quite so bad. I love you all!

What the?

That's strange. I swear I have blogged since my last blog about Rachel's blog. But, maybe not. How weird... and embarrassing. Aynway, I really need to get better at this. I think I should be having a lot more free time lately with Jonathon starting school again and all...with the endless hours of homework. So, I am going to go through my pictures right now and think of something clever to write about.

As many of you know...

But some of you may find this as new. We are having number 2 sometime next year! I think it's due in March, but I have to go to the Dr. to get a due date. And I will do that as soon as I get on insurance. ;-)

We are very excited!! I will let you know when we find out the due date! We took this picture of Eden and made it into a post card to send to our parents to share the big news. When the mail man delivered it to my parents, I guess he noticed it in the stack of mail and walked it to my parents door. When my dad answered the door the mail man said, "I just had to walk this to the door. It looked too important to stick in the mail-box." What a cute mail-man! ;-)

It was a little challenging to get a cute photo of Eden that you could read the sign cause she is such a wiggle worm. Plus it was bed time and hadn't eaten dinner yet, so she didn't have much patience with us. But, it turned out cute still.
